| A
tale for our times...the Daum brothers, Auguste and Antonin,
began
life as a lawyer and engineer, respectively. Their fortunes changed
dramatically when the family took over
a glassworks near Nancy in France in the 1870s in part payment of
a debt. By the early 1900s they had become leaders of the Art
Nouveau movement. These cards, details from their glassware, give you
a
taste of the sumptuous colours and artistry that brought them fame. |
