This collection features Chinese andJapanese art, largely from the 18th and 19th centuries. Most of the images are 'details' from oriental rose bowls or trays. The pictures below just don't do justice to their subtle shades and delicate background 'washes'. But even so, you get a hint of the wonderful ethereal blue of the sky in "Plum blossom birds", my own favourite. |
